Dear all,

I just want to know how do you determine whether you should have 2 or 3 copies of the same cards in a deck.

My idea of having 3 cards in a deck is when I need to be able to have higher probability of drawing some important cards especially at the beginning of the game such as Celebrian Stone, Light of Valinor, Sword that was Broken, Hasty Stroke, Feint,Test of Will, Burning Brand, etc.

The problem of putting 3 copies of the same card is that the deck will lack variety but I am not sure whether this will affect the effectiveness of the deck. What I understand if we put too many of the unique cards in the deck, we can end up clogging our hand when the any one of the cards that is played.

Having 2 copies will reduce the probability of the draw and this is a dilemma that I am having.

What do you guys think? How do you decide when to have and what cards to have 2 or 3 copies in a deck?
