If you have Core Set + First 2 expansions,the recent expansions will be very challenging played solo especially if you did not enjoy the solo experience of core set (minus Dol Guldur) and first 2 expansions.
If you are still willing to give this game another shot, my suggestion would be just stick with Core Set until you can win Anduin scenario more than half the times, then buy expansions in release order one by one, but give enough time inbetween each purchase to play the player cards from each sphere so you know what the cards do.
