Dunhere has to attack alone to attack the staging area.

I don't think he has to attack alone, it's just that there aren't other characters right now who can help him attack. If a new character comes out with a similar ability (or some other card), then he and Dunhere could attack together, though Dunhere would lose his +1 Attack bonus.
