Hey.I'm putting together something I call 'Campaign mode', which is similar to what you described in your second post. The exception, of course, is that my theme isn't about Hurin.
I can throw you a few tips, but I'm barely starting this project and it seems to be way bigger than what I can handle for the next few months.
