Sorry should have made this a little clearer, the players wouldn’t use any sphere / heroes / ally cards from the main games or expansions. The idea is essentially a deck building mechanic in which depending on the choices you make as Turin depends on which cards (from this campaign) are added to your deck.In essence
You start with only one hero - Turin (as a boy)
Equipment – Woodcutter Axe
9 other thematic items / options available to Turin at around this time
As you run through the first adventure you may decide to put out a building on fire, which grants you 2/3/4/5 ‘Turin Town cards’ to be added to your deck (these could include towns folk allies, farming type weapons (or something more theme appropriate.)
Alternatively you may encounter ‘known characters’ (named in the book) who may become heroes etc.
After you complete the first adventure the ‘Turin Town cards’ which have formed your deck, is what you will use whilst in the hidden city; again being given the option to add ‘Hidden City Cards’ (the dragon helm and cloak ???) to your deck and so on.
You wouldn’t use anything from the ‘official’ game to help create your own deck. Although it may be demeaned appropriate to use some of the encounter sets to help bulk out the encounter deck (perhaps the orcs from the base sect may be ok to use etc.)
So yeah, sorry should have really said; it uses a deck building style mechanic based on how you decide to react to the situations…kind of main point I missed in the original post sorry.
