Would an epic Helm's Deep battle with 12 or more heroes at play truly diminish your experience so much that you are "thankful" that it is the way it is?

Perhaps we have a different definition of the word "epic". Gandalf's showdown with the Balrog or Boromir's last stand are just as epic as any siege in the movies. Anyways, it seems the "Heirs of Numenor" expansion and the cycle that follows will be centered on sieges and larger scale battles. And I don't think that there's any large scale battle in the LotR movies that has 12 or so heroes present at the same time.

Hmm...in the movie, no. I think you'd be hard pressed just to find 12 heroes in the movie. In the book, yes. Battle of Minas Tirith comes to mind. Aragorn, Faramir, Gandalf, Denethor (albeit some might call me cheating for suggesting he participated in the battle), Prince Imrahil, Eowyn, Gimli, Legolas...I'm at 8 so far and I strongly believe I am missing a few. Gandalf wasn't a hero but was there, as was Pippin. So I can easily argue that 12 discernible characters were present; In fact, much more than 12!

But with all of that said, I just wanted some open discussion and I thank you all for doing so as I feel this was a great dialogue and learning for me to see how others enjoy the game. I wanted more elaboration and I feel you all delivered on that and I appreciate it very much.
