HelloI am getting back in to LOTR after a break and would like to play two-handed (something i've not done before). I would be grateful if somebody could confirm for me all the differences between solo and playing 2-handed. My understanding is as follows:
- Resource Phase - Normal
- Planning Phase - I can play allies/attachments into either player's area from either player's hand - not just their own area.
- Quest Phase - I add up all Hero Willpower committed to quest and draw 2 cards instead of one. If I quest unsuccessfully, i add threat equal to the deficit to both threat trackers.
Travel Phase - Normal
Engagement Phase - each player can make one optional engagement. Players take turns engaging agaisnt threat thereafter.
Combat - Normal
Refresh - Normal (move first player token).
Is this about it?
Are there any event card restrictions? e.g. heavy stroke - if player 1 attacks with Gimli and does damage of three, can player two play the card "Heavy Stroke" and double up the damage made?
Is there anything else i should be careful about - i'm pretty fluent in rules/timing when playing solo, just wanted to make sure i didn't miss any key nuances when doubling up. As the card pool grows and the quests get tougher, i think this is a more fun way to play the game in the long run.
Many Thanks
