And as for what I said earlier about the focus on mono-sphere decks, I agree that it will open the possibility for new deck types, but the fact that those event cards require printed resource icons also means that unless I want to build that deck type, those cards are useless to me

Am I the only one who is totally cool with this? I think it's awesome to start rewarding the construction of strict monosphere decks. Right now the overwhelming paradigm is dual if not tri sphere decks (and my dwarf decks have often be 4 sphere!).

I am 100% on board. One could have said the same thing about many of the secrecy cards and I think that was a fantastic addition. The game has more appeal to me if I have a laundry list of strategies that I'd like to incorporate and try out some day - rather than a stack of a few uber decks that simply include all of the great cards. And honestly, for the moment, the game sits closer to the latter than the former by my view. So yes! Give me divergent deck building strategies.

Although to the earlier point, I would prefer when they go this route that the resource icon didn't have to be printed (like thicket of spears), then it would allow more creative deck building (songs are an option) while creating balance since getting songs out is often not reliable. Hence the most optimal way to use the strategy is to just use 3 native sphere heroes, but it can be incorporated in much less dependable way.
