I actually find Leadership aragorn a better bet for JDA.When your threat gets up over 40 it normally means the threat of your staging is so high its virtually game over anyway. And you will get better threat reduction with sneaky gandalf rather than Lore aragorn's ability. Plus you can quest every turn with Aragorn and still have him combat.
Best recipe for tactics based JDA is Thalin + Questing Buff, Legolas + Blades of Gondolin and leadership Aragorn + sneaky gandalf (+Faramir)
